Rich Lichtel ~ Head Football Coach & Offensive Coordinator

Rich is now in his 26th season as head coach of Mechanicsburg High School Football.  Before assuming the head coach position, he was an assistant at MASH for 6 years.  From 1974-1978, he coached at Bloomsburg University.  Rich played Football at Shamokin High School and in College at Bloomsburg University.  After college, Rich went on to play for the ACFL Colts and the Scranton Eagles in the World League (minors).  Rich has led the Wildcat Football team to 5 division titles including a PIAA District III Championship in 1986.  He is the all-time winningest coach in Mechanicsburg Football History.  When not coaching, Rich can be found in the fitness center or out fishing. 

Coach Lichtel is currently recovering from some health issues & has turned the program over the Co-Head Coaches Chris Hakel & Jeff Costello until he is able to return.
